COMMON QUESTIONS

Plan your next step.

Useful information before starting an engineering enquiry.

What information should I provide?

Share the site address, a short description of the work and any available plans, surveys, reports or photographs.

When should I speak with an engineer?

Start early, particularly if you are proposing structural changes, developing a design or considering drainage and flood constraints.

How is a quotation prepared?

The required services, available information and site access determine the scope. Confirm inclusions, fees and timing before work begins.

How long does engineering work take?

Timing depends on the scope, site access and the information available. Agree the expected delivery milestones when the scope is confirmed.

Where is SK based?

SK Building Solutions is based in Bankstown, NSW. Provide your site location so the suitability and availability of the requested service can be confirmed.

Questions about a specific service?

BEFORE WORK BEGINS

Questions to clarify with your project team.

What should an engineering quotation include?

The scope, deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, fees and anticipated timing. Clarify whether site inspections, revisions and construction support are included.

Can one report cover every engineering issue?

Different questions can require different assessments. Clarify which disciplines and issues are included before commissioning the work.

What if my plans change?

Share proposed changes before they are built. Changes to layout, loads, materials or levels may affect the engineering design and agreed scope.

Are project images examples of completed SK work?

The current images illustrate engineering disciplines and project types. They are not presented as completed SK projects.

Can I submit an enquiry through the website?

You can currently prepare and download a project brief. The tool does not submit your details; share the downloaded brief through your existing SK contact.
